Soothing Bath For Your Dog

Get the dog into the tub praise him/her for being so good, a small bone may make him /her happy.Once the dog is in the tub get him wet. Make sure you avoid the ears, as water in the ears is not good for the dog. I take my plastic cup/pitcher and pour the water over the dog. You may need to talk sweetly to the dog to relax him/her.Take the shampoo and squirt it along the back of the dog making a skinny line of shampoo, massaging it in. Make sure to get under the legs, on the belly and around the tail. Be careful of the face, While the shampoo is on the dog I run a comb through the coat to pull out fleas and shedding hair. Rinse the comb in the bath water after each stroke.

Use the cup to pour water over the dog and rinse him off, you may want to repeat the shampoo process for an extremely dirty dog.If you are using a conditioner squeeze an apropriate amount out onto the ruff/dry patches of fur. For many dogs this is on the back, or near the tail. Rub it in and let it sit for a minute. As it sits, continue to comb the dog. After you rinse the dog, let out the drain. Small dogs may become afraid of the noise so you should take them into a towel and dry them off.

DOG BATHS

Fun Bath For Your Pet

Bathing your puppy or adult dog can often prove to be quite challenging. Most dogs, especially the short-haired ones ,should be given a bath at least once a week.Longer-haired dogs can be bathed once every 10-12 days .Don't wait longer than that because animals go outdoors and can catch infections.

No cold water please

If cold water stings your skin early morning during a bath, your dog will not like it either.Try to bathe it in warm water.

What you should keep ready before the bath begins

Everything unless you have a shower head that can be moved around easily to wash the dog.Get ready with shampoo/conditioner,towel,dog biscuit and a comb ready.Sometimes ,the sound of running water can scare the dog.Bribe it with treats.

Shampoo/conditioner

If a dog itches but has few or no ticks,it may have dry skin or something that looks like dandruff flakes. In such cases, use a dandruff shampoo that you would use.If the dog has rough or dry fur,use a mild conditioner as well.

How to bathe the dog

While pouring water, make sure it doesn't go into the mutt's ears. It's not good for your dog.Take the shampoo and squirt it along the back of the dog making a skinny line.Wet your hands, blend the shampoointo the coat and massage it in.Make sure to shampoo under the legs,on the belly and around the tail. While the shampoo is on the dog,run a comb through the coat to pull out fleas and dead hair.

How to dry the dog off

If you have a large dog, keep it in the tub till all the water is drained.Take the dog's paws and gently squeeze out the excess water over the tub.You may need to do this for the tail as well.As quickly as you can ,place the towel over the dog and let it step out of the tub.Give the dog a biscuit to treat it as well as to keep it occupied while you dry it off.Now ,quickly rub the towel over the dog to dry it before it gets a chance to shake all the water on you!

Now take fido outside the bathroom and gently comb its coat. You are done!
